Each of my race goals comes at the end of a specific training period. I will not only be running during each period, but I will integrate other types of cross training and athletic "adventures" into the mix. At the beginning of each week, I will outline the workout goals and "adventures" that will take place over the week. 5k Week 1
This week is my intro back into running. I have been dabbling at the sport for some time now, but this is the week that I actually make a permanent commitment. Monday - walk 1 mile, run 1 mile Tuesday - walk 20 min Wednesday - walk/ run 20 min Thursday - walk 20 min Friday - walk/run 20 min Saturday - run 2 miles Sunday - off Cross training: This week I will incorporate 2 30 min. Yoga sessions into my workout on my walk days.

Tuesday- walk/ run 2 miles
Wednesday - walk 20 min & yoga
Thursday - walk/run 2 miles
Friday- walk 30 min & yoga
